Description: 19th century Chinese pewter covered box for storing small items on scholar’s desk engraved with flowering prunus on the top, and brass trim along ornately shaped rim. Beautifully made, pleasant patina. Stamped on the inside of the cover with maker’s seal in Chinese which reads HUANG YOU. Great patina, wonderful object for scholar’s table. Height with cover 1 inch, length 4 3/4 inches.
