Item Description This is a very gorgeous Antique French Sterling Silver Fish Server Set of two pieces in excellent condition!   Offered for your consideration is this truly gorgeous Antique French Sterling Silver Fish/Meat Server Set of two pieces; both a very large Serving Knife and Fork. The design to the handle is most elegant French Empire Style revival - perfectly symmetrical architectural borders, foliage motifs and palmetto. The handles bear a very beautiful, intricate hand-engraved monogram DC. The blades are made of "Metal Blanc" (a sort of pewter in brighter colour) and have unique shape, nicely decorated with beautiful piercing and hand-engraving. Hallmarked on the handle 1.) French Minerva No.1 mark on the handle, which guaranteed .950 purity sterling silver, used in Paris since 1838. This is one of the finest quality sterling silver, higher than standard .925 sterling silver. 2.) trace of maker's mark, not clear enough to identify. 3.) A square stamp marked "Metal Blanc" on the blades. Measurements & Condition Fork: 10 3/4 inch (27 cm) long x 2 3/8 inch (6 cm) wide. Knife: 12 inch (30 cm) long x 2 inch (5 cm) wide. Weight of 2 pc: 11.7 oz (332.1 grams.) Very Good Estate Condition with normal sign of light use. Please refer the detail photos I added.
