Construction crews work to finish a renovation to St. Margaret Mary Church in Slidell Friday. A baptismal grand entrance is being constructed, which will feature a baptismal pool and bath. The project also included construction of a nursery, a work sacristy, enlargement of the sanctuary and addition of two rooms to the church office. The project cost about $260,000, and was planned around the 25th anniversary of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Slidell. The church will hold an anniversary celebration Sunday. Following the mass, the parish members are invited to a fellowship dinner in the cafeteria, parishioners will also be able to tour the new facilities. Photo measures 8 x 10 inches.
