Description: From an estate. A wonderful collectible belt buckle in solid bronze commemorating Bishop California's 1988 Mule Days. This is a limited edition, numbered 623 out of 2500 made. The back of the buckle is engraved as follows: "The city of Bishop, California, hub of the packing industry of the Eastern Sierra Nevada, each year hosts Mule Days on Memorial Day weekend. This event was begun in 1969 to celebrate the camaraderie of packers and the opening of summer packing season. Mule Days is the largest mule exhibition in the world with an attendance of approximately 30,000 people. Buckle design created by local artist Betty Graves."
