Description: The 1987 Great Britain £1 coin is a Two Shillings Florin made of Nickel-Brass with an English Design (S-J5 variety). This uncirculated coin has been certified by PCGS with a grade of MS 65. The coin features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on one side and a decorative English design on the other, minted in the United Kingdom. In MS65, there are 4 examples with 8 graded higher than this. It features edged milled lettering which reads: "DECUS ET TUTAMEN" which translates to "An ornament and a safeguard" (Numista, n.d.). This coin became obsolete by Great Britain on October 15, 2017, and offers a proof-like quality to it. It's 22.5 mm thick and is roughly the size of a US nickel. Don't miss your chance to own this piece, as I do not know if or when I will have another example.
