Description: 1987 DC COMICS Multi 3 Pack Backing Board Cards Series 1 (4) Different UNCUT SHEETS w/ 32 CARDS The DC Comics Backing Board Cards Series 1 Great Heroes & Great Moments In Comics is © 1987 DC Comics. These cards are fairly hard to come by and came in six different non-perforated sheets. Eight cards appear on a backing board, which was also used to hang the comic 3-pack. The front side of the backing boards has a header that allowed the comic pack to hang on a hook in retail settings. Each multi-pack of comics included three consecutive issues of Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman which were shrink-wrapped with this "trading card" backing board. A complete set of cards contains six sheets (cards #1-48). A second series with nine sheets was produced in 1989 (cards #49-120). The first series featured cards with a "dot" style background and the second series featured a different background design. These cards feature an array of characters and DC covers.
