Description: 1984 S United States Olympic Coin- XXIII Olympiad Silver Dollar Proof Purchased at an estate sale of a commemorative coin collector. The silver dollar is stored in a plastic capsule and was photographed while still inside the capsule. The coin can be displayed inside the displayed box or the velvet US Mint coin case. This was the first time that the US issued Olympic coins. The Mint mark is "S," San Francisco. I had the coin verified through my friend David, a gold and silver dealer. He did not apply anything to the coin. This is a good-looking coin is all I can say about it other than it is legal tender. The box shows signs of wear at the edges of the cardboard. The estate sale people said that it was unpacked from a box. Please see the photos for a visual description. The paperwork is stored beneath everything else.
