Description: Vintage 1979 The Leatherworks Catalog Description Up for sale is a vintage The Leatherworks Catalog from 1979. This catalog along with quite a few others (that I'm still in the process of listing up for sale) was found in a drawer belonging to a family member who is no longer with us; so for all intents and purposes, this listing is part of an ongoing online estate sale of sorts. Anyways, this catalog is in pretty good shape, considering how old it is. It appears to have some signs of spotting/yellowing throughout the pages and the cover with some minor page creases, page bends, tears, and/or scuff marks... just the usual hallmarks that one would expect to find from a publication of this vintage; even though it appears to have been fairly well preserved overall. The catalog is held together by a brown plastic ring binder and it's always important to handle these things with the upmost care, for they tend to get brittle over time. Luckily, this one still seems to be intact. This catalog comes with a one-sided color print advert which features a model that looks uncannily a lot like Jameson Parker from the 80's classic series Simon & Simon. The other page that's included with this catalog is an updated price schedule with an dated effective date of December 1st, 1979. This page exhibits quite a bit of wear and tear on it brought on by overall age and/or general storage. The front cover of the catalog also has the title and the figure of the leather worker embossed on it and you can see the negative impression of that from the inside cover. The color print quality of the pages contained within this catalog is pretty high end and just downright amazing in my opinion... what's even more incredible is just how well this catalog has held up over time. Another thing that stands out as a little bit odd or unusual about this catalog is that the Terms & Policy page is repeated on the next to last page and then again on the very last page of the catalog. Perhaps they wanted to emphasize the company's shipping policy and all the terms outline with money order deposits and shipping via UPS and all that jazz... Either way, I'm pricing this item to move so if you're collector of vintage fashion apparel & accessories magazines/catalogs, then this is the item for you; so please be sure to get in on this deal while it still lasts, for my loss is your gain as they say in the trade.
