Description: 1978 SB Boats of Louisiana 8' fiberglass dinghy, 4' max beam. Rubber rub rails, wood gunwale, wood seats and oars. Rub rails replaced before being put in storage, in great shape with no dry rot or cracking. Wood is all in excellent condition with good, clean varnish. Paint has a few rubs and marks but overall in excellent condition, inside and out. Three seats, two rowing positions. Purchased her in 1984 in St. Thomas, USVI. She was our primary transport while living aboard a 36' sloop. Kept in enclosed storage when not on the water -- total service time on the water no more than seven years. Oars, gunwales and seats are original. She'll take up to a 5hp outboard, but that's heresy on a boat that rows this well. Smooth, stable & nimble. A vintage boat that’s beautiful, ready to put on the water, and great for utility or just leisurely rowing. If you’re used to running boats up on the rocks and into the pier, she’s not for you.
