United Way, Houston, Harris County: Dean Baxter, public affairs coordinator for Atlantic-Richfield Foundation, hands a baseball bat representing the foundation's $100,000 United Way donation to Billie Glidden, a teller at First City National Bank. Assisting Baxter is Diane Croucher of Pasadena, captain of the Lighthouse for the Blind's Beep Baseball team which will attend the Beep Baseball World Series. Lighthouse for the Blind will get more than $100,000 from United Way next year. The United Way Campaign itself has reached 50.4 percent of its goal, or $10,2 million, campaign chairman Richard G. Merrill says. "The campaign is running about 10 percent ahead of last year at this time, but we've still must raise $10 million more by the October 27 deadline," he said.Photo measures 10 x 8inches.
