Description: 1977 Men's Tissot Seastar Quartz Watch This is an exquisite example of a vintage men's Tissot Seastar quartz watch, made in Switzerland in 1977. A brand new battery has been installed, and the 3 jewel movement is running well and the watch is keeping accurate time. The watch features a date indicator, and it works as designed by flipping over around midnight every day. A unique feature of this watch is in how the date and time are set. You can set the date either forwards or backwards (i.e. when you moving the crown forwards, the date increases; when you move the crown backwards, the date decreases). It also has a quick set feature as the default where the hour hand moves an hour at each click/turn of the crown. The minute hand can be set by pressing the crown in and holding for 5 seconds, releasing the crown, then pressing the crown in until the minute hand gets the proper position. The hands and the hour markers have the original luminescent material on them, and it is all intact and still glows in the dark after being exposed to a light source. The blue dial is in excellent condition, with no blemishes to be seen anywhere. The stainless steel case has been cleaned and polished, and shows only minor surface scratches from past use. The crystal is clear with no scratches or chips. A brand new black leather strap has been installed. Overall, the watch is in excellent condition and ready for your wrist!
