Description: Is there such thing as a remarkable AND affordable vintage Stratocaster? Yes! Presenting Serial #7673742, a nearly 50 year old Stratocaster still wearing its original sunburst finish (with just the right amount of "mojo") and its original date-stamped maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, both in excellent condition. The previous owner was a working guitarist/vocalist/songwriter who acquired the guitar more than 20 years ago and regularly played (and clearly cared for) the guitar. Its overall condition today is Very Good. The action is excellent. Guessing that the it was refretted at some point as the frets are virtually unblemished. Not uncommon in that era, at some point the Strat was adapted to fit a humbucker pickup at the bridge as well as different tuners. The guitar, however, has since been restored to original specs with what appears to be two of its original pickups, date-stamped 1976, and an era-correct Strat bridge pickup dated 1973. The correct tuners are also back on the guitar. It has its original tremelo bridge (comes with arm) and plays beautifully up and down the neck BONUS: At only 8 1/2 lbs., the guitar is relatively light for the era making it comfortable to play at length. More than just a great vintage look and vibe though, best of all #7673742 projects that crisp vintage Strat sound. The guitar comes with its original period-correct case in remarkably nice - I'd say "Excellent" - condition. Hard to imagine how these terrific vintage Fenders will not continue to appreciate over time.
