The 1975 Opus Ball which benefited the New Orleans Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra took place Saturday evening at the Fairmont Hotel. Prior to the soiree there was cocktail party in honor of sponsors and patrons of the ball, given by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas S. Davidson, Mr. and Mrs. H. Merritt Lane and Mr. and Mrs. William S. Porteus III. Pictured at the party which was held in the Garden District home of Mr. and Mrs. Lane are (above, from left) Mrs. Porteus, chairman of this year's ball; Mr. Lane, Mrs. Lane,a member of the ball committee, and Mr. Thomas S.
