Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This vintage photograph is offered for sale as a collectible item and conveys no transfer of copyright. 1973 Press Photo St. Joseph's Day paraders marching through Irish Channel This is an original press photo. Marching through the Irish Channel, these St. Joseph's Day paraders held their seventh annual parade Sunday in honor of the patron saint of Italians. However, persons of many ethnic groups enjoyed the fun. After 46 Carnival parades, one would think that New Orleanians would welcome an afternoon of leisure. But in a city steeped in Mardi Gras tradition, there's no such thing. Led to a Sousa tune by the New Orleans Police Marching Band, the seventh annual St. Joseph's Day parade etched its way Sunday through the Irish Channel from the corner of Felicity and Magazine to Liguori Hall on Constance. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 03-12-1973. PHOTO FRONT PHOTO BACK Historic Images Part Number: noo56839 Sell Smarter with Kyozou.Inventory and Ecommerce Management
