Description: Handsome fold-out 1970 Texaco road map of Wyoming, printed more than 48 years ago. The map opens to 18" x 23" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha. There are inset plans of Cheyenne, Casper, Sheridan, Laramie, the Black Hills Region, and Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The map was distributed by Texaco in 1970 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 8-RR, and the date code on the back panel is 701. The slogan on the front is "More and more people trust their car to the man who wears the Texaco star." The artwork on the back cover includes two Texaco gas pumps and a credit card. Condition: This map is in very good condition, bright, crisp, and clean, with a tiny break on one fold corner and no rips, tears, or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
