These are two photos of huge storm over the Atlantic Ocean as seen today from nation's newest weather satellite ESSA II today. Photos transmitted by satellite were received on homemade amateur station by Wendell Anderson, Moorestown, New Jersey, electronics engineer. According to satellite experts at RCA station in Highstown, New Jersey, storm is approximately 2,000 statute miles long and 1,500 miles wide. Satellite is orbiting at an altitude of 860 miles. These were first two pictures transmitted by ESSA II during evaluation tests that began today.Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 03-02-1966.
