(NY21-December 26)--Manchester in Hospital--Author William Manchester of "The Death of a President" is in a Middletown, Connecticut hospital today with what his family doctor called a "slight case of pneumonia." He was put on the critical list early today after being taken to Middlesex Memorial Hospital running a high fever. His doctor said later that antibiotics had broken the fever and his temperature was normal.
