Description: Up for sale is a stunning 1966 Gretsch Country Gentleman in its original and rare Black finish. Come to think of it, I have NEVER seen a Country Gentleman in Black so this instrument was likely a one off or special ordered in black. This model features a double cutaway body design with the faux F holes, gold hardware, Gretsch branded Bigsby tailpiece, original pickups, Grover tuners, ebony fingerboard w/ thumb nail inlays and a sleek look. Overall in very good cosmetic condition but absolutely shows its share of finish and play wear as well as excessive binding rot / wear, very common on vintage Gretsch guitars. The neck has a slight back-bow to it and the truss rod cannot be further loosened. There also is a center seem crack running vertically down the neck. Pro setup in house and comes complete with its original hard case.
