This is the 2nd design cap with the "deep" or "long" neck that Novas started using in 1965. The pre-'64 caps have a "short" neck. See pics for a comparison (caps not included, for demonstration purposes only). CONDITION: New OER brand reproduction - Not 100% like the originals, but exact reproductions are not currently available (and probably never will be). These fit and function fine. DISCLAIMER: as with any chrome part, care must be taken to preserve the finish and prevent oxidation. This is especially important with modern reproduction parts that are not plated to the same level of quality as the original American made parts. Without proper care the finish of chrome parts will corrode over time, and rather quickly if left outside in the elements. If you need tips on how to do this, there are plenty of "how to" resources online. APPLICATION: 1965 - 67 Chevy II / Nova all models and body styles. Will NOT FIT 62 - 64 models, which used a different filler neck (even though it looks the same). May have fitment issues with reproduction filler necks! It is an issue with the filler neck, not the gas cap. Always independently verify the part works for your application before purchase. DO NOT solely trust the eBay application compatibility chart!
