These plastic banks, with their odd bottle cap design, were just one of the many novelties produced during the 1964 Presidential campaign. They were issued in pairs, one for Barry Goldwater, the Republican nominee, and one for President Lyndon B. Johnson, the Democratic candidate. Both open & close as made. Unusual & scarce. Hard to find as a pair. Condition is considered GOOD with mild surface/stain/edge wear. Mild surface scuffing with no cracks or chips on plastic. Overall, we feel these make a very displayable pair by most standards (see photos). Collectively, they would make a great grouping for the discriminating VINTAGE POLITICAL and/or STILL BANK MEMORABILIA enthusiast.
