1964-65 Buescher 400 Alto Saxophone

Description: This is a 1964 or 65 Buescher S-1, 400 Series, Alto Saxophone. This is a professional grade saxophone that is in playing condition. We have it adjusted, but due to its older pads it’s at about 98% . It would still benefit from a repad, though. The Buescher 400 features a wider bell set further away from the body than the more modern horns as well as featuring individual diamond braced pillars. The original lacquer on this sax is at about 90-95% coverage, with a few blemishes here and there. This horn does play well and is quite possibly the most lyrical saxophone on the market. It comes in a combination case that also holds a flute and a clarinet, often referred to as a Tri-Pack Case. All the latches on this case work as they should, and it is still in beautiful condition.
