Description: The program is in excellent condition with only light wear on the front and back cover. All of the pages are secure, and there are no tears or cutouts. The lineup is included and has been folded. This program has a picture and short article on Linda Vaughn. This was her last race as the "Queen of Speed" at Atlanta before moving on to future endeavors. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program and lineup. The 1962 Atlanta 500 was held at Atlanta International Raceway on June 10th. The 500-mile race saw a crowd of 55,000 pack the 1.5-mile facility. Banjo Matthews started on the pole and led the 46-car field to the green flag. The scheduled race had been rained out twice, and this third attempt was cut short at 328 miles. When the rain storm hit, the leader was determined, after five hours, to be Fred Lorenzen. Following Lorenzen were Banjo Matthews, Bobby Johns, Fireball Roberts, and Troy Ruttman.
