1960s Marx Fairykins Simple Simon with Orig. Box

Description: Marx released these Fairykins around 1962. All were hand painted by artists. There were about 30 different Fairykins and had varied packaging formats. You are more likely to find the set where Simple Simon is accompanied with the Pie Man but more rare is Simon on his own. This Simple Simon spent most of his time in the box and he is still glued to the cardboard base so he is in excellent condition. The box is good but has some noticeable blemishes. The most noticeable blemish is the plastic window which is a bit crinkled and separated on one side and top from the box. This would be something you could easily replace or glue back in place. Otherwise a bit of wear on the edges and flaps. Lid also has some troubles staying closed. Regardless, still a well preserved vintage Marx toy. The box is approx. 1-3/4" x 1" x 2-1/4" high
