Description: 1960s swiss made hermes baby. Machine received some transit damage on way to me and now doesn’t fully work, likely could be fixed by someone with a mind for these things. What works, the margins, the margin release, the carriage advances, imprint as shown (it’s pica), ribbon advance, the back space – basically everything except the line lever which cannot seem to do anything other than single space lines and then not reliably, with say ten movements it will insert a half space when a full is required, this could be worked around by manually doing the line spacer or by being careful but it obviously is not working properly, hence hence sold as spares and repairs. Other small issues are dings as shown, marks to Spence bar, missing Hermes insignia on ribbon spool cover, dented but generally clean case, the body was decoupled from base on arrival, and has been pushed back together but the carriage does make slight contact and has marked It as shown. Hairline crack in left platten knob and some marks to the keys as shown. Basically a small project for someone to be fully working or a parts machine. Happy to answer questions, but no returns on this item. Doesn’t come with a ribbon, but can provide small spools if you ask for them.
