Askold Anatolyevich Makarov (1925-2000) - Russian ballet dancer, choreographer, ballet teacher, publicist. People's Artist of the USSR In 1943-1970 - soloist of the ballet of the Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theater named after S. Kirov, where he danced leading roles in classical and modern repertoire.
