Description: Up for sale is a 1957 copy of "THE ABDUCTION FROM THE SERAGLIO" by Mozart.“The Abduction from the Seraglio” (Die Entführung aus dem Serail) is a singspiel in three acts by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Premiered on July 16, 1782, at the Burgtheater in Vienna, this opera tells the story of Belmonte’s quest to rescue his beloved Konstanze from the harem of Pasha Selim, with the help of his servant Pedrillo. The opera is notable for its use of “Turkish” music, which was very popular in Vienna at the time. This includes the use of cymbals, triangles, and bass drums to create an exotic sound. The work is also known for its demanding vocal parts, particularly for the role of Konstanze, which requires a high level of technical skill. This item is in very good condition.
