They're colorful, exotic, and even educational. Many sets have featured flags, and Topps issued at least two such sets, the large size, spectacular Flags of the World set in 1956, and the interesting midgee set of 1963. The 1956 set has the distinction of being one of the very last sets Topps issued in its old standard size of 2 5/8" x 3 3/4." Flags of the World consists of 80 different national flags, with interesting statistics and information about each country on the back. The flags are colorful and dramatic, and they make an attractive display. This set has remained popular with collectors to the present day. This is great starter lot consisting of 23 different cards out of the 80 cards in the set, including #2, 3, 5-7, 10-12, 15, 19, 21, 22, 26, 29, 44, 49, 56, 64, 68, 69, 73, 76, 78 and 79. The cards are various conditions, with many exhibiting creases, corner wear and surface wear (see scans for condition). All in all, an attractive example of a set that's over sixty years old.
