Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. The Indians don't shoot at the cowboys near Globe, Arizona, because the cowboys ARE Indians. Seven hundred Indian families own their own cattle on the big San Carlos Apache Indian reservation and the sale grosses more than two million dollars a year. These pictures were made at the month-long yearly roundup. Indian tepees are still carried by the cowboys, but they also have modern, army surplus cots. During month-long roundup the cowboys establish several camps, spending three or four days at each. Indians – Apache Photo measures 9.5 x 7.5 inches. Photo is dated 07-31-1955.
