1955 Oliver Super 77 Row Crop Diesel Tractor

Description: This is a classic 1955 Oliver Super 77 Row Crop Diesel Tractor. It is an older full disassembly/reassembly museum quality restoration. Meticulous attention has been paid to every mechanical, electrical and cosmetic/appearance detail during its rebuild. You will not find a finer example of this tractor currently for sale anywhere. Extremely rare, fewer than 200 row crop versions of this tractor with a diesel engine were manufactured on the assembly line of the Oliver plant in Charles City, Iowa. The engine is a six cylinder vertical diesel with a displacement of 216 cubic inches (3.5 Liters), with 38-40 horsepower, a compression ratio of 16.0 to 1, and is rated for 1600 RPM. The transmission has six forward speeds and two reverse speeds as is indicated on the shifting instruction plate next to the guages. This tractor sports a chrome vertical exhaust atop the engine. The tractor has a fully functional PTO and an accessory pulley on the right hand side. The engine starts and runs as it should and demonstrates great power and throttle response. The tractor has been completely rewired with a period correct wiring loom. A new high amperage "Interstate" brand 12 volt battery has been installed. All lighting works perfectly. All guages have been replaced with authentic period correct Oliver reproduction guages.The paint is in very good condition with the normal amount of wear one would expect from an older restoration. The correct "Goodyear" 15.5-38 rear "Duratorque" tires are in good condition and have no dry cracking. The "Goodyear" 6.50-16 front tires seem older but are still in good condition. If you collect Oliver tractors this tractor is a "must have" to complete your collection. This tractor is also being offered for sale locally and will be withdrawn from sale if sold locally.
