1954 Topps #17 - HOF Phil Rizzuto (New York Yankees)

Please see my other listings here! Card pictured is exact card you will receive. This card has plenty of wear, including on the surface and pretty even rounding to the corners. But it's well-centered left to right, the coloring and registration are still strong, and the card has no creasing. A good buy of this Yankee HOFer. Buy with confidence, as I offer free returns (other than S&H) on raw vintage (1980 and earlier) cards. Interesting facts: 1954 was the first year of Rizzuto's big league career that he did not have over 500 at-bats. He batted only .195 in 307 at-bats, which included only six extra base hits, and posted a WAR of only 0.1. His .541 OPS and 52 OPS+ were low marks for his career, but Rizzuto never posted especially high marks in those areas. In 13 seasons, he had an OPS+ of 100 or better only four times. Even in his 1950 MVP campaign, his .857 OPS was 17th in the league. Check out my other listings for more interesting baseball facts!
