Carrasquel was the FIRST LATINO BASEBALL ALL STAR - HE STARTED IN THE 1951 ALL-STAR GAME. He opened the Baseball Gates for all the Great Latinos that followed. THIS Carrasquel IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE BOTH FRONT AND BACK. IN PARTICULAR THE CARRASQUEL PHOTO IS IN SUPERB CONDITION. TAKE NOTE THAT WHEN FOUND SEVERAL DECALS WERE STACKED ONE ON TOP OF ANOTHER - SO ANY MINOR RED FLECKS THAT YOU SEE ARE REMNANTS OF THE RED BACKING THAT STUCK TO THE FRONT. Manufactured by Meyercord Co. A couple of notes regarding condition. 1.The Picture Frame as you might expect has some minor fraying along the edges 2. There is a small Hole where the Sigbature is located and this flaw is High-lighted in one of the Pics 3. The Card ID Number and Player name has worn away 4. This is a Decal so somewhere in this package there must be adhesive. I have no idea if after 70 years things are stuck together internally so take great care in handling and if you intend sealing this Item in any kind of a protector you better know what you are doing because the Pic can easily stick to any plastic and I mean permanently. Finally the End Use is the reason that so few of these Decals have stood the test of time. They were sold to be destroyed. Do your Research and you will find that the Meyercord Decals are nearly Impossible to find in any condition and this is better than most. What you see is Exactly what you get.
