Measurements: Image 14 inches x 9 inches Mat 23 inches x 17 inches More about the artist: A twentieth-century American printmaker, painter, sculptor, educator and writer, Richard Florsheim first studied at the University of Chicago before going to New York to study at the Museum of Modern Art and at the Metropolitan Museum, under Aaron Bohrod. His education was completed in Paris at the Musee Nationale d'Art Moderne. Florsheim gained recognition in the late 1930's when he first began exhibiting his art. Venues included the Salon des Refuses, Paris; the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; the Los Angeles County Museum and the San Francisco Museum of Art. Richard Florsheim was a full member of the American Graphic Artists, the Audubon Artists, the Artists Equity Association and the National Academy of Design.
