Description: Royal CopleyIVY Window Box Planter7" Wide x 4" High1950s Mid-Century ModernA cool Royal Copley mid-century mod "window box planter" in the very 1950s design called Ivy, with a branch of dark green ivy leaves on an off-white (tan) background and a dark gray (almost black) pedestal foot. It measures 7 inches long across the widest part of the body, 4 inches high at the rim, and about 3.5 inches deep. The planter has a couple of condition issues, although it makes a great display (and is perfectly usable). There is overall light crazing (most visible near and on the bottom). There is also a very small chip or fleabite on the inside edge of the front rim, which has formed a very tight hairline crack (see closeup photos). There is also a discolored rough spot on one end of the rim edge (which I think is a blob of glaze, definitely not a chip or crack). The interior also shows crazing. This shape is shown on page 120 of the Schneider reference guide to Royal Copley.
