Description: A gorgeous rare vintage find in a killer size! 1950's highly collectible novelty print giraffe skirt featuring the ultra-rare BLUE giraffe, it's the ultimate novelty print! As we all know, a skirt of this fabric (in a different colorway) was worn by Marty McFly's mom in Back to the Future. Check out the original JC Penny's advertisement for it too! This skirt is incredible, with 22 panels and a massive sweep. (Shown with 3 crinolines, but still not enough to show off the fullness!) Wide waistband and back hook and bars and metal zip. Skirt is in great vintage condition with a few items to note: The original waistband was very worn and faded, so I had a new waistband created, so it is a little darker than the rest of the skirt. There were two small holes at the hem, so skirt was taken up about an inch, but could be let back down if desired, there was a small hole in the neck of one giraffe that was expertly darned. When I found the skirt it had been taken in quite a bit, so there are some faint marks from the old darting. Lastly, several of the giraffes have fading on their necks (it looks like there may have been some color bleed from the leaves that was scrubbed a little too hard). The skirt presents fantastically and due to the extreme fullness these small flaws would only be noticed upon very close inspection. More photos available upon request.
