1950s High School Yearbook w/ PAT BOONE ~ "Most Beautiful" selection for LD Bell

Description: This is a lovely 1958 Lawrence D. Bell High School (LD Bell) yearbook from Hurst, Texas, in which Pat Boone is featured because he selected the "Most Beautiful" and "Most Handsome" students from each class. This was in the early years of Pat Boone's career, and his Texas connection was still very fresh (he's about 23 in this picture, I think), as he and his wife moved to Denton, TX so he could attend the North Texas State college music program. Meanwhile, he was also doing a show for a TV station in Dallas. Things were moving fast and he ended up moving to New York, but visiting Texas frequently because of his huge fan base here (yep, I'm in Hurst, Texas y'all!). The student he selected as Most Beautiful for the Junior class in this yearbook (so, she graduated in 1959) was the original owner of this particular yearbook. I'm not mentioning her name for privacy reasons here. Some notes about the book:There is wear to the cover and spine of the yearbookThere is a significant tear to one of the pages--the first page of the Seventh Grade section...this is not near the Pat Boone image.There are spots and stains occasionally throughoutThere is a transfer of ink from a signature on the previous page onto the bottom white part of the Pat Boone pageThere are a couple of small spots at the top left of the Pat Boone page near the spineThere are many signatures throughout the book, as would be expected for a high school yearbook of the era.There are a few obituary newspaper clippings that the owner has tucked into the book; of LD Bell classmates.There is a FANTASTIC Bell Helicopter mid-century advertisement near the back of the book, as well as lots of other cool vintage ads.
