Description: This is a program from the Cal Bears vs Navy game played September 27, 1947 at Berkeley's Memorial Stadium. Program is in very good condition, with the only flaw being the center line-up page is loose from the staples. The largest crowd in the history of Memorial Stadium showed up to see Navy come to Berkeley. 83.000 filled Cal that day {this record was later matched in the '53 Big Game vs Stanford}. Navy was favored to win but Cal won 14 - 7 in a terrific and close contest Navy was lead by Coach Tom Hamilton, HB Pete Williams , and OL Dick Scott.
