Description: Vintage photo from a US Navy Sailor's collection. He arrives in England in early 1944, then on a LCI during Normandy Landings. Next he is stationed at Antwerp, Belgium starting in fall of 1944-5, thru Battle of Bulge & V2 Rocket attacks. In Antwerp he was not on a ship so working at the Antwerp Harbor? . Living in city building at US Navy Quarters, with some close calls with rocket attacks. He went into Holland at some point. A trip by Navy Jeep to Brussels, Leige and then to Aachen Germany. It's so close maybe a day trip? He returns stateside in Aug of 45 on a transport ship . Midway home on VJ Day. NO name for him (except Me written on backs) . SEE Size in condition box above..
