Description: Mauldin was a cartoonist for various publications and showed the reality of American infantry life on the front lines of Europe during World War 2. The original copyright is 1945, this is the 6th printing. Mauldin won 2 Pulitzers for his cartoons. He created Willie and Joe, 2 GI's serving in Europe. He started after enlisting by working for the Press Corps and published in Stars and Stripes, going on to appear in other publications in the States. In this book he describes his experiences in text on the 228 pages along with many of his cartoons. He was there in theater when he did most of these. Buyer pays cost of Media Mail.
