The watercolor is initialed and dated by Longabaugh at the bottom right and is titled "Street in Acapulco" and signed in graphite on the mat. Sight size: 6" x 7". Matted to: 14" x 12". Charles Oglesby Longabaugh (1885-1944) was born in Grayslake, Illinois and studied at Wheaton College and the Art Institute of Chicago. He travelled extensively, spending a considerable amount of time in Mexico and the American Southwest. His watercolors became wildly popular and were said to be sold "wet off the canvas," such was the demand for his art. Condition: Mat is lightly toned and glued to the backboard.
