Description: Mason's 1939 Commemorative Blue Plate Fresh from a Dallas estate, this is a RARE, collectible plate commemorating the visit to the United States by King George VI in 1939. This piece has a mark on back that reads, "Mason's Patent Ironstone China England 1780." There is also an imprint mark. The pattern is blue transferware on white ironstone china and depicts the US Capitol Building in the center with the image of King George VI & Queen Elizabeth at the top and image of President Roosevelt at the bottom. The message around the center image reads, "To Commemorate the visit of their Majesties King George VI & Queen Elizabeth to the United States of America June 1939." The border is decorated with laurel. The plate measures 10 5/8" across. This piece is in overall EXCELLENT CONDITION with NO nicks, chips, stains or cracks! There is typical all over crazing. !
