Description: This is the 2 and 3 cents stamps underpaying the letter rate to the USA by 1 cent, but as it was from the Post Office , it was not surcharged. The envelope is an OHMS type. This type of cover was often used for sending postage stamps to buyers from the Post Office. Neil Donen has prepared a series of 3 articles about this sort of cover published in Gibbons Stamp Monthly. This example has its original contents being a statement of stamps purchased from the Post Office. The statement is large and was oringinally folded many times to fit the envelope. It will be folded to be sent to the buyer. In the picture, a little was trimmed top and bottom by the scanner as it exceeds A4 size. The envelope is torn into at the top.I hope the general condition is apparent from the 600 dpi scan, but please do contact me with any queries. For sendings over £50 I prefer to use tracked services - special delivery to UK addresses at £7.95, and tracked/signed air mail to the rest of the world (£8.15) and will invoice accordingly.
