Description: This is a 1933 Ideal Snoozie 13" doll. It is very rare because it was only made for 3 years. Snoozie began as a design for a doll that would keep its eyes open even when it was lying down. However, that became impossible to design, so it was released without that feature. This doll has a compo head and hands. The little finger is missing off the right hand. The body and legs are made of what looks like stuffed oilcloth or a rubberized cloth body, arms and legs. This is a yawning doll. The eyes are lithographed metal. This doll was designed by Bernard Lipfert for Ideal. I am enclosing a magazine ad for this doll that explains how it was supposed to work. Not original clothing. One sock only. Very, very interesting doll, and scarce as hen's teeth. A true collector's item. NO odors. And, with FREE SHIPPING!!
