Description: Large antique maple butcher blocked. Sold by E.R. Godfrey & Sons Co. from Milwaukee Wisconsin to an Independent Grocers Alliance market in Kenosha Wisconsin at 400 75th Street probably in the 1930s. Original shipping label still attached to the underside. The building currently at that address is modern so I was not able to find the name of the market but the label has the word "Stein" visible. Fine dovetail joinery. Approx weight is 400lbs. This piece is VERY heavy. I have a hydrophilic engine hoist and can lift it about 3 feet. A low utility trailer with ramp would be best. I can ship but buyer needs to arrange. It must be picked up the carrier. I do not have the ability to drop this off anywhere. I also have no way to weigh it accurately.
