He was born in LeClair, Iowa Territory, and lived several years in his father's hometown in Ontario, before the family moved to the Kansas Territory. He worked from the age of 11 and became a rider for the Pony Express at 15. He served in the Civil War from 1863 to 1865 and then was a scout for the US Army.This book chronicles Buffalo Bill from the time he begins work, through his adventures with Indians, Desperados, Outlaws and Horsethieves. Bill meets and learns about the slaves and learns some hard lessons.The book is in very nice condition for age. The cover litho is nice with light wear for age. The joints are intact. The hinges are mostly intact. The pages are in great condition for age with expected age yellowing. There are no page tears and there is no handwriting on the pages. The illustrations are clear.The book measures 7 inches by 4 3/4 inches wide. It has 121 pages.
