Description: This Parry Thomas card #8 from the 1927/1928 Amatller Automovilismo set has wear to the card to include light creasing. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the card. This issue of the Amatller Automovilismo set consists of 23 cards featuring prominent drivers in Europe and the Catalonia region. Amatller is a chocolate company based in Barcelona, Spain, since 1797 and continues to operate today. They would include these cards with the purchase of their chocolate. The front of the card features the driver/riding mechanic while the back of the card has driver information written in Spanish. J.G. Parry-Thomas was a Welsh driver born in 1884. He studied engineering and would work for Leyland Motors. He set the Land Speed Record in 1926 at Pendine Sands, Wales. He was killed in 1927 at Pendine Sands, trying to recapture his speed record.
