Admiral Eberle in his forty years in the Navy has had some notable service, serving during the Spanish American War and in the Philippines insurrection. He commanded the Washington Navy Yard 1914-1915, was superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy 1913-1919. Before becoming Chief of Naval Operations he was commander in chief of the Pacific Fleet and commander in chief of the Battle Fleet.Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches. Photo is dated 1-21-1925.
