1920s spring-jointed composition CUPIE (Kewpie) carnival doll with googly eyes

Description: Start your Summer vacation dreaming with our....Darling Cupie Girl! ♥ An adorable, large sturdy composition, vintage "CUPIE" (Kewpie), carnival-style doll from the 1920s to enjoy any time of the year (sister to our other carnival cupie doll, listed separately)! She stands, 13" tall, with huge painted, side-glancing (googly) eyes with hi-lights and long eyelashes, eyebrows, rosy cheeks and pretty nose and smiling mouth detail. She has spring-strung jointed outstretched arms with nice finger detail and stiff chubby legs to stand, rosy knees and flat feet with painted black shoes or boots. She still has all her original paint finish and her wonderful, thick, dark brown, "marcelled" human hair wig over molded hair. You can dress her for any occasion or just admire her cute little body. ♥ (loc. D #2)She will bring a smile to your face every time you look at her! These were extremely popular holiday ♥ tokens during the "roaring twenties" era, similar to the "Betty Boop" dolls and often won at summertime carnivals. She has been safely treasured all these years and ready to be enjoyed for another century as she is in good overall condition with no damages (one side seam has opened paint surface) or repairs or fading, no repaint (some paint wear on her shoes) and no odors as she is from a smoke free home. Her other Cupie, carnival friends are not included and just there to join her ♥ ♥ chorus line and each is listed separately. She has no cracks or repairs, and no repainting and will be a delightful addition to your doll collection. Other Kewpie dolls, etc. are not included and each will be listed separately.
