Description: Roseville Pottery 1920s Imperial I textured Arts & Crafts period double handled art pottery vase consisting primarily of browns, greens, tan hues.Measures:10" tall8" wide handle to handle 7" deepThis nearly 100 year old piece presents nicely, It does have some wear: a chip on the inside of the lip leading to a chip on the outside of the lip. The outside chip leads to 3 cracks - 2 leading to the handle as well as a smaller shorter crack in the middle. The crack on the right has also has a few cracks coming off of the main one. There are also surface scrapes, slight knicks, paint dulling, crazing, etc All wear withstanding, this is a cool piece that would display nicely. I am hyper critical and am using a magnifier when noting wear/damage. This is an AS IS sale. Please see all photos and reach out if you have any questions PRIOR to purchasing. Max photos met..more available upon request. Roseville's Imperial I was introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1921. The textured background has shades of greens and brown and has a vine with berries or grapes. Most pieces were unmarked. The Roseville Pottery Company was an American art pottery manufacturer in the 19th and 20th centuries. Along with Rookwood Pottery and Weller Pottery, it was one of the three major art potteries located in Ohio around the turn of the 20th century. Though the company originally made simple household pieces, the Arts and Crafts - inspired designs proved popular, and Roseville pieces are now sought after by collectors.
