Description: Alto sax in fair shape with various dings, scratches, and dents. There is a dent at the bottom of the bell and a few very small ones along with scratches, some pitting and lacquer wear. I’m not sure if it’s the original lacquer. Overall it seems to be close to playable but probably will need adjustments/pads, corks etc. Sold as-is for restoration or for parts with no guarantee of playability. That being said, i think it could make a nice playing vintage horn after some work. Pads look fair but showing various states of wear some if not all should be replaced. As far as I know, this Alto is from 1922-23 sometime and was the Series ll version with the pearl-button G# key. As for the neck—I question whether it is the original to this horn and appears slightly lighter in tint. I suspect it may be a Conn replacement as some claim they play more in tune than the original Truetone neck. This could also be BS I just don’t now for certain. It did play nicely for me at one time but it’s been awhile. Study the photos for an idea of general condition and please ask any questions you might have before bidding. Thanks
