Original and Authentic. There are many more recent reprints of this publication, but the only physical original copies I could find were held in just three instances, first by the National Air and Space Museum, in the Alfred Victor Verville Papers Collection, Box 60, Folder 4. This was assigned a presumed date of 1919 within that collection but we have concluded through research that this was likely published closer to 1922-1923. The Ohio Historical Society, and the McDermott Library of the US Air Force Academy also claim holdings of physical examples. Given that only a small handful of these original examples appear within worldwide holdings and no current examples are found for sale, or in recent auction records, this is an exceedingly rare example. Illustrated with various elements related to aviation at the time, including many illustrations of aircraft, engines, and staff. This is a little gem loaded with interesting information related to the school and operations at McCook Field in Dayton, Ohio.
